Maridea Wealth Management announced it has acquired Chichester Financial Group, LLC (CFG), a Phoenix-based advisory firm known for its focus on tax-smart financial planning and tax-aware investment strategies. The deal expands Maridea’s footprint in the Phoenix market to two offices, following its initial entry into the region in September 2025.
As part of the acquisition, John J. Chichester Jr., founder of CFG, joins Maridea as Senior Financial Planner. With more than 25 years of experience, Chichester has built a practice centered on helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate complex tax considerations while aligning financial strategies with long-term objectives. He is joined by team members Stephanie Bawolek, Dawson Gonwick, Toni Solberg, and Jonathan Blaha, who bring expertise in comprehensive, tax-efficient planning and retirement solutions.
Chichester Financial Group has been recognized for its client-focused approach, with Chichester named among the Best Financial Planners in 2024 by Money and the Financial Planning Association.
The acquisition enhances Maridea’s retirement plan capabilities, including 401(k) plan design, fiduciary support, participant education, and tax-efficient retirement strategies. These offerings complement the firm’s broader platform, which integrates financial planning, investment management, tax services, and business advisory.
