The Mark Cuban Foundation announced that Carlow University will serve as the host site for this year’s Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The initiative aims to provide high school students from underserved communities with hands-on exposure to artificial intelligence concepts and applications. The program will take place across three consecutive Saturdays on Carlow University’s campus.

The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp introduces students in grades nine through twelve to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence in a practical, interactive learning environment. The sessions cover real-world applications, including computer vision, machine learning, and natural language processing, with a focus on problem-solving and ethical awareness. No prior coding experience is required, allowing students from all backgrounds to participate.

Carlow University’s involvement in the initiative reflects its commitment to expanding access to technology education and supporting diverse learners. By collaborating with the Mark Cuban Foundation, the university is helping bridge the gap between emerging technologies and educational opportunity, aligning with its broader mission to cultivate ethical and innovative leaders.

Founded by entrepreneur and investor Mark Cuban, the Mark Cuban Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring young people through exposure to cutting-edge technology. The AI Bootcamp program partners with companies and schools nationwide to ensure that students from underrepresented communities gain the foundational skills and confidence needed to shape their future careers in technology.

Pittsburgh’s Carlow University joins a growing list of host institutions across the country that support this mission by providing local students with a free and engaging pathway into AI education.
