Matrix One, a life sciences software provider backed by Lauxera Capital Partners, has acquired Simploud, a cloud-based maker of Quality Management System (QMS) and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software.

Following the deal, Simploud’s products will be incorporated into the Matrix One portfolio as Matrix QMS and Matrix LIMS, broadening Matrix One’s offering for regulated life sciences and MedTech organizations dealing with growing compliance, operational, and data requirements.

Matrix One said the addition strengthens its ability to support customers across quality management, laboratory operations, and other compliance-critical workflows, with an emphasis on reducing tool fragmentation by enabling essential processes to run within a unified software environment.

The acquisition builds on Matrix One’s recent portfolio expansion, including dokspot (now Matrix eIFU) and Galen Data (now Matrix Connect), alongside Matrix Req. The combined suite is positioned to cover design control, quality management, laboratory information management, electronic instructions for use, data connectivity, and other regulatory-driven processes across the product lifecycle.
