Mattamy Homes announced the acquisition of 145 homesites in Verona, a new master-planned community in central Pasco County, Florida. The land transaction closed on June 5, 2026, and home sales are expected to begin in summer 2027.
Verona is located off State Road 52 in Land O’ Lakes. The 2,500-home master-planned community is being led by Eisenhower Property Group and will feature multiple builders.
Mattamy’s presence in the community will include 73 40-foot homesites and 72 50-foot homesites, totaling 145 single-family homes.
The company plans to offer 13 floorplans ranging from 1,787 to 3,067 square feet. The homes are expected to include two to six bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and two-car garages.
Mattamy will also build model homes to showcase its home designs, exterior styles, quality, and curb appeal.
Approximately 2,000 acres of the overall Verona community will remain dedicated to open space, agricultural use, and recreational areas under a restrictive covenant with Pasco County.
The acquisition reinforces Mattamy’s continued investment in the Tampa region and expands its presence in Pasco County, one of the area’s fastest-growing residential markets.
The community is positioned near major transportation corridors, with Interstate 75 located about four miles east along State Road 52.
Residents are expected to have access to downtown Tampa in about 35 minutes, providing connectivity to major employment centers across the region.
Nearby amenities include Publix, a golf course, restaurants, and Wesley Chapel destinations such as The Grove and Shops at Wiregrass.
Community amenities are expected to include a clubhouse, fitness center, resort-style pool, pickleball courts, playgrounds, a paw park, picnic areas, and a trail network.
The amenities are expected to be completed by summer 2027.
Mattamy said the acquisition builds on its momentum in the Tampa area and reflects its focus on delivering high-quality homes in locations that offer long-term value, connectivity, and a strong homeowner experience.
Mattamy Homes is the largest family-owned homebuilder in North America, with more than 48 years of operating history across the United States and Canada. The company helps more than 8,000 families achieve homeownership each year.
