Mayer Brown has appointed Erica Murphy as Chief People and Talent Officer, placing her in charge of the law firm’s global people strategy.
Murphy’s responsibilities include talent management, professional development, workforce planning, employee engagement, recruitment and total rewards.
She joins Mayer Brown from Ropes & Gray, where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer and was a member of the firm’s senior leadership team.
Murphy has more than 25 years of experience spanning human resources, talent strategy, organizational development and law firm management. Earlier in her career, she worked as a labor and employment attorney.
