MCF Advisors: Acquisition Of $617 Million Firm Wealth Planning Expands Cincinnati Presence

MCF Advisors, a Kentucky-based registered investment adviser serving families, business owners and retirement plan sponsors, has acquired Cincinnati-based wealth management firm Wealth Planning Corporation, which oversees approximately $617 million in assets under management.

The transaction expands MCF Advisors’ presence in the Greater Cincinnati market and adds a nine-person team from Wealth Planning Corporation to the firm. As part of the deal, Wealth Planning Corporation President Todd Steinbrink joins MCF as regional director and partner, while Vice President of Operations and Relationship Management Angela Dietrich joins as director of client service and partner. Both will continue working with clients and supporting the Cincinnati team.

The acquisition closed on February 27, 2026. Following the deal, MCF Advisors’ total assets under management increased to about $4.7 billion. The transaction marks the firm’s second acquisition since partnering with Wealth Partners Capital Group and the Aspire Holdings platform of HGGC in March 2025 as part of a minority investment in the firm.
