McGuireWoods has added partners Jeff Golimowski and Jeremy Baker to its Tysons, Virginia, office, strengthening the firm’s commercial litigation capabilities across post-acquisition disputes, construction matters and government contracts.
Golimowski and Baker join McGuireWoods from Womble Bond Dickinson.
Golimowski represents companies in high-stakes commercial disputes, including matters arising after mergers and acquisitions.
His work spans the full lifecycle of transactions, from advising clients on asset protection during deal negotiations to enforcing holdback, indemnity and insurance rights after transactions close.
Golimowski also represents Fortune 500 companies and small-to-midsize businesses in construction litigation involving highly regulated projects.
His experience includes matters involving U.S. Department of Defense facilities with potential exposure exceeding $150 million.
Baker focuses on commercial construction and public contracts disputes, with significant experience across energy, defense and infrastructure projects.
His construction practice includes matters involving change orders, project delays, design defects and other disputes arising from large-scale developments.
Baker also represents prime contractors and subcontractors serving the defense industry.
His government contracts work includes disputes, teaming agreements, subcontract formation, government investigations and federal contracts counseling.
McGuireWoods said the additions complement its transactional practices by strengthening the firm’s ability to handle disputes that emerge after acquisitions and other strategic transactions.
The firm represents buyers, sellers, investors, sponsors, portfolio companies, founders and executives in disputes involving mergers, acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, strategic investments and other business transactions.
McGuireWoods also maintains significant construction and government contracts litigation capabilities.
Golimowski and Baker join a commercial litigation platform that handles matters across multiple industries and combines litigation with the firm’s broader corporate and transactional practices.
The additions further expand McGuireWoods’ presence in Northern Virginia, where government contracting, defense, technology and infrastructure businesses represent important parts of the regional economy.
