McGuireWoods Promotes Former FINRA Director Jackie Wells To Partner In New York

McGuireWoods has elevated Jackie Wells to partner in New York, strengthening its Securities Enforcement & Regulatory Counseling Practice with a former Financial Industry Regulatory Authority enforcement director.

Wells joined McGuireWoods as counsel in 2024 after spending eight years with FINRA’s Department of Enforcement, most recently as a director.

She advises financial institutions, broker-dealers, investment advisers, public and private companies and executives on securities regulation, compliance and enforcement.

Wells also represents clients in inquiries and investigations involving FINRA, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal and state regulators.

During her time at FINRA, she worked on market regulation and sales-practice matters including trade reporting, order execution, anti-money laundering programs and Regulation Best Interest.

McGuireWoods’ broader securities practice includes former SEC and FINRA attorneys and federal prosecutors.

The team handles regulatory matters ranging from routine examinations and informal inquiries through investigations, litigation and appeals.
