MD7 Lands $100 Million Strategic Equity Partnership With Tikehau Star Infra

MD7, a global digital infrastructure consultancy, said it has closed a $100 million strategic equity partnership with funds managed by Tikehau Star Infra, the infrastructure investment platform of Tikehau Capital. The investment is intended to accelerate MD7’s acquisition of “critically positioned” mobile infrastructure assets on behalf of its wireless operator partners, with the goal of supporting long-term network planning certainty and greater ownership stability across North America.

The company said the transaction advances its approach to protecting critical infrastructure assets and reducing operational cost volatility as the telecom industry sees increasing consolidation, more complex ownership structures, and heightened competitive aggregation. MD7 framed the partnership as aligning long-term institutional capital with its asset stewardship and operational partnership model, positioning wireless operators to mitigate ownership risk and improve network planning.

MD7 said its model is built around asset stewardship and operational alignment with carriers rather than purely transactional lease economics. The company said the partnership combines Tikehau Star Infra’s long-term infrastructure investment expertise with MD7’s industry experience to support more resilient wireless networks and more accurate operating expense forecasting.

MD7 said it has delivered execution, intelligence, and advisory services across network infrastructure programs for more than two decades and reported surpassing $2 billion in OpEx savings secured for telecommunications clients worldwide in 2025. The company is headquartered in Allen, Texas, with international operations in Dublin, Ireland, and says it serves operators across North America and Europe, with a focus on stability, transparency, and long-term value.

Tikehau Star Infra described itself as a U.S.-headquartered developer and manager of infrastructure assets across multiple sectors, including telecommunications. Tikehau Capital said it is a global alternative asset manager with €51.1 billion of assets under management as of Sept. 30, 2025.

Their focus on long-term asset stability, disciplined acquisition, and operational alignment with carriers is exactly what the digital infrastructure market needs as networks become more complex and capital-intensive.”
