MedRisk Acquires Horizon Casualty Services PPO Network Business

MedRisk, a provider of managed care solutions for the workers’ compensation and auto casualty markets, has acquired the Horizon Casualty Services (HCS) PPO Network business from Horizon Mutual Holdings, expanding its capabilities across the casualty claims industry.

The company said the addition strengthens its ability to improve patient outcomes while increasing value for clients, and supports MedRisk’s broader strategy to build an integrated organization that helps claims stakeholders achieve faster recovery, smarter spending, and optimized payments.

MedRisk said the transaction reflects its continued focus on strategic growth and investment in services that help clients manage claims more effectively while maintaining a high service standard.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, MedRisk focuses on managed care for physical rehabilitation in workers’ compensation and auto casualty claims, and also provides medical bill review and network solutions.
