Mega: $11.5 Million Raised For AI-Powered Growth Engine For SMBs

Mega, a New York-based startup building an AI-powered growth platform for small and mid-sized businesses, announced it has raised $11.5 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-driven marketing infrastructure. The round was led by Goodwater Capital with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Atreides, SignalFire, and Kearny Jackson. The investment also included WNBA stars Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart, Kelsey Plum, and Nneka Ogwumike.

The company’s platform is designed to replace traditional marketing agencies by using a network of specialized AI agents to execute digital marketing campaigns. The system handles functions such as search engine optimization, generative engine optimization, paid advertising, and website management, while continuously planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns.

Mega’s product is built specifically for businesses generating roughly $500,000 to $20 million in revenue. Instead of requiring customers to manage multiple marketing tools or agencies, the platform delivers marketing execution through software that operates autonomously and reports results in real time.

According to the company, approximately 55 percent of work performed through the platform is fully automated, while another 35 percent is largely automated with human oversight, and 10 percent is handled directly by human specialists. This hybrid model is designed to maintain quality control while enabling large-scale automation.

The company’s origins trace back to experiments conducted by its founders while building a video game company during the Covid period. After the launch of ChatGPT, the team developed internal AI tools to accelerate their own growth efforts, which significantly increased organic traffic and reduced paid customer acquisition costs.

Those tools eventually evolved into the foundation for Mega’s commercial platform. The company said the system helped increase organic traffic 100 times while reducing paid acquisition costs by 80 percent during early testing.

Mega has since grown quickly, reaching $10 million in revenue within 10 months of launch. Its customers span industries including home services, law firms, healthcare businesses, ecommerce brands, and software companies.

The company reports that in one case, a Texas medical spa increased search traffic by 174 times using the platform. A personal injury law firm increased search visibility by 243 times and achieved top-three rankings for key terms, while a direct-to-consumer health brand generated $120,000 in website revenue and surpassed its Amazon marketplace sales without increasing ad spend.

On average, Mega says customers grow about 20 percent faster using the system.

Looking ahead, the company plans to expand the platform beyond SEO, advertising, and websites to manage the broader revenue generation engine for small businesses. Planned capabilities include email marketing, outbound campaigns, organic social media, lead qualification, sales operations, and performance reporting.

The long-term goal is to provide a fully automated growth infrastructure that allows small and mid-sized businesses to compete with enterprise-level marketing capabilities without the overhead of traditional agencies.
