MEI Industrial Solutions, a provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, industrial storage, crating, and export packaging, and specialized transportation, has acquired CCI Industrial Services, expanding its presence in the Southeast and establishing a larger footprint in Kentucky.
CCI is headquartered in Somerset, Kentucky, and operates additional facilities in Somerset and Glasgow. The business has about 120 employees and provides equipment-focused industrial services, including rigging and machinery moving, millwrighting, fabrication, and specialized electrical work. MEI said the acquisition strengthens its ability to support complex industrial equipment throughout the lifecycle—installation, operation, relocation, and upgrades—by adding electrical capabilities ranging from low-voltage control systems (24 VDC) through 480-volt equipment power, integrated with MEI’s rigging and setting services.
MEI, formerly known as MEI Rigging & Crating, is a portfolio company of Olympus Partners. Following the transaction, MEI said it employs more than 2,000 people nationwide, operating across 26 locations in 21 states. Financial terms were not disclosed.
MEI said CCI’s customer base and experience across the automotive supply chain will complement MEI’s end-to-end service model, particularly as manufacturers expand and modernize operations in Kentucky and surrounding states. CCI’s leadership team, including President Randy Cable, will remain with the business following the acquisition.
