MemryX announced the appointments of Ross Jatou as Chief Executive Officer and Joe Faris as Vice President of Sales and Marketing as the company looks to expand its AI inference acceleration platform from edge deployments into emerging data center opportunities.
Jatou brings more than 30 years of experience in semiconductors and artificial intelligence. He joins MemryX from Alat Corporation, the technology investment and manufacturing arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, where he led semiconductor and AI infrastructure initiatives. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of onsemi’s Intelligent Sensing Group and spent 15 years at NVIDIA, most recently as Vice President of Engineering for enterprise, automotive, and AI platforms.
Jatou succeeds Keith Kressin, who has led MemryX since December 2021. During his tenure, the company brought its AI inference products into production, expanded customer engagement, and advanced its software and hardware platforms for commercial deployment.
Joe Faris joins MemryX to help drive growth across edge AI, automotive, industrial, and infrastructure markets. Most recently, he held leadership roles at Luminar Technologies, overseeing global business development and engineering teams. He previously managed applications engineering for sensors and processors at onsemi and spent nearly a decade in technical roles at Intel and TRW.
MemryX develops AI inference acceleration technology using its “at-memory” dataflow architecture, which is designed to deliver high-efficiency AI processing across edge and data center applications. Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the company has raised $44 million in Series B funding from investors including HarbourVest, NEOM Investment Fund, Arm IoT Fund, eLab Ventures, M Ventures, and Motus Ventures.
