Mercer Global Advisors, one of the nation’s largest Registered Investment Advisers (RIA) with $86 billion in client assets, announced the appointment of Katelyn (Kate) Shackleton as Executive Managing Director, New Partner Success. In this newly created role, Shackleton will lead the integration and growth of newly acquired partner firms, reinforcing Mercer Advisors’ commitment to the success of its expanding network amid a record year for acquisitions. The firm’s Partner Integration team, led by Rick Weyers, Vice President, Partner Integration, will report to Shackleton.

With more than a dozen firms joining Mercer Advisors in 2025 and additional partnerships expected before year-end, the company continues to position itself as the destination of choice for growth-oriented advisors seeking to deliver fully integrated family office services. Shackleton’s mandate will focus on ensuring seamless integration for new partners, enhancing value creation, and supporting long-term client and employee success.

Bringing over two decades of experience in wealth and investment management, Shackleton has held senior leadership roles in strategy, innovation, and client engagement at some of the industry’s most prominent institutions. Before joining Mercer Advisors, she served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and New Ventures, and Head of Trust & Insurance at LPL Financial, where she worked closely with complex clients and advisors to deliver multi-generational trust and wealth management solutions. Her previous experience includes leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley, and JP Morgan Private Bank.

Mercer Advisors President Daniel Gourvitch highlighted Shackleton’s arrival as a pivotal step in strengthening the firm’s ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for partner firms and their clients. He noted that the firm’s collaborative model—a partnership of over 100 firms—is designed to drive shared success through collective scale and expertise.

The appointment of Shackleton follows a series of key leadership hires designed to support Mercer Advisors’ accelerating growth strategy. Earlier this year, the firm announced the appointments of Alisa Maute, CIMA, as Head of Client Development, and Ted Motheral as Principal, M&A Partner Development. In addition, two new Vice Presidents have joined the M&A Partner Development team: Carrie Ohm, CPFA, formerly with OneDigital’s corporate development team, and Alex Moore, CFA, CPA, formerly with MarshBerry. Together, these hires expand Mercer Advisors’ leadership depth and strengthen its capacity to support both organic and inorganic growth.

Founded in 1985, Mercer Advisors has grown into one of the most comprehensive financial advisory firms in the country, offering fee-based family office services including financial planning, estate and tax planning, insurance solutions, and trustee services.

Mercer Advisors is majority-owned by Oak Hill Capital, Genstar Capital, and Altas Partners, operates more than 100 offices nationwide, and employs over 1,370 professionals.
