Mercer Advisors has introduced the second generation of Aspen, its proprietary AI-enabled platform supporting the wealth management firm’s family office services. Developed by Mercer Advisors’ technology team over the past three years, Aspen 2.0 has been deployed across more than 1,100 interdisciplinary wealth professionals. The platform is intended to address fragmented client data and disconnected technology by creating a unified environment for advisors and specialists.
Aspen connects clients, team members, workflows and services through a shared knowledge graph. It acts as a system of record for work completed across financial planning, investment management, tax, estate planning, insurance and financial administration.
The platform also integrates AI tools directly into supervised advisory workflows. Mercer Advisors said this structure allows AI to assist professionals while keeping fiduciary advisors involved in the client-service process.
Aspen includes integrations with Orion, Box, eMoney, Estately by FreeWill, Pontera, Salentica, Salesforce, Zoom and Microsoft. It also connects with custodians including Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, Raymond James Financial and Goldman Sachs.
The system supports hundreds of thousands of actions annually for more than 42,000 clients. It connects financial plans, portfolio management, tax-return preparation, distributions, contributions, documents, emails and meeting information within a shared client context.
Mercer Advisors also uses Aspen to integrate newly acquired advisory firms. The platform is designed to streamline onboarding, training and workflow adoption while helping acquired teams maintain service continuity.
Mercer Advisors has more than $110 billion in client assets, over 1,620 employees and more than 120 locations across the United States.
