Mercury Systems announced it has acquired SolderMask, a specialized manufacturing supplier that supports several of the company’s defense programs as they transition into higher-rate production.

The Andover, Massachusetts-based aerospace and defense technology company said SolderMask provides specialized dry-film solder mask applications across more than 20 Mercury programs, including the U.S. Army’s Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor program and multiple Common Processing Architecture programs. SolderMask has been part of Mercury’s supply chain for more than a decade and has processed more than 50,000 components for the company while maintaining strict quality standards.

The transaction closed on March 3, 2026. Mercury acquired SolderMask’s assets, intellectual property, and its five-person workforce as part of the deal.

Mercury said it will continue operating SolderMask’s facility in Huntington Beach, California. At the same time, the company plans to establish a parallel manufacturing process line at its Phoenix facility in order to increase production throughput and support growing program demand.

The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Mercury’s manufacturing capabilities as several defense and aerospace programs supported by the company move into larger-scale production phases.

Mercury Systems develops mission-critical processing technologies designed for aerospace and defense applications. The company’s processing platform enables customers to deploy advanced computing capabilities from silicon to system scale, supporting applications such as mission computing, sensor processing, communications, and command-and-control systems.

The company’s technologies are currently deployed in more than 300 programs across 35 countries.
