Meta has launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business initiative designed to help companies use the company’s artificial intelligence technology to grow, transform operations, and build new products and services. Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the platform as the next major pillar of Meta’s business, building on the company’s existing reach across billions of consumers and hundreds of millions of businesses.
The new platform will combine several of Meta’s core technology capabilities, including advanced AI models, AI agents, large-scale infrastructure, and Meta’s experience working with businesses and advertisers. Meta said the initial product portfolio will include the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, Muse Code, and additional tools for businesses and developers.
Meta Enterprise Platform represents a broader push to turn its AI technology stack into enterprise products and services that organizations can deploy within their own operations. The effort expands Meta’s AI strategy beyond consumer products, advertising, and social platforms toward software and infrastructure designed specifically for business customers.
Meta said the platform will focus on helping enterprises use AI across areas such as customer engagement, business operations, software development, innovation, and growth. The company also emphasized that it will build security and privacy into its enterprise products from the outset.
To lead the initiative, Meta has appointed Chirantan “CJ” Desai as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, reporting directly to Zuckerberg. Desai joins Meta from MongoDB, where he served as CEO and President.
Desai brings extensive experience building and scaling enterprise software businesses across AI, infrastructure, applications, and security. Before MongoDB, he led product and engineering at Cloudflare and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, including serving as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
His appointment gives Meta an executive with deep enterprise software experience as the company seeks to establish a larger presence in the corporate AI market. Meta said Desai will work with businesses and partners as the Enterprise Platform develops its product portfolio and commercial strategy.
The company’s strategy is centered on combining Meta’s AI models and agents with the scale of its infrastructure and its existing relationships with businesses. Desai said Meta’s experience supporting millions of advertisers and hundreds of millions of businesses gives the company a foundation for expanding its AI technologies into enterprise environments.
Meta plans to make its AI stack available through products and services that companies can integrate into their own businesses, with the broader goal of positioning Meta Enterprise Platform as a destination for organizations looking to deploy AI at scale.
