Method Security has raised $26 million across its Seed and Series A rounds as it accelerates efforts to deliver autonomous cyber defense systems to the U.S. Government and major enterprises. The investment was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and General Catalyst, with participation from Blackstone Innovations Investments, Crossbeam Ventures, NFDG, Forward Deployed Ventures, Pax Ventures, WndrCo, 515 Ventures, and prominent industry leaders, including Phil Venables of Google, Frederic Kerrest of Okta, Ryan Noon of Material Security, and Aaron Levie of Box.

The New York-based cybersecurity company is building a unified platform designed to help national security agencies and critical industries continuously test, strengthen, and evolve their cyber posture. And the funding will help expand deployment of Method’s autonomous cyber platform across government and enterprise environments.

Method’s technology blends offensive and defensive capabilities into a single full-spectrum system. By integrating diverse data sources into a digital twin architecture, the platform provides operators with a dynamic, interconnected map of assets, configurations, and exposures. This model then enables high-precision autonomous attack simulations that help organizations better understand and harden their systems. The company positions its platform as an answer to rapidly escalating cyber threats driven by AI-enabled adversaries.

Method was founded as a dual-use company supporting both national security and commercial customers. Its platform is already in use within the U.S. Department of Defense, federal agencies, and Fortune 500 organizations. The founding team includes CEO Sam Jones, CTO Sean Hacker, and President Daniel Kelly, bringing backgrounds from Palantir, NSA, the U.S. Air Force, CIA, AWS, CrowdStrike, Shield AI, and Microsoft.

Headquartered in New York City and Washington, D.C., the company was founded in 2023 and focuses on autonomous systems that deliver continuous visibility and resilience to America’s most critical institutions.

KEY QUOTES

“America’s critical institutions have been thrown into perpetual cyber conflict without the tools they need to win, while AI is enabling our adversaries to operate at unprecedented scale. At Method, we build systems that safely harness autonomy to deliver a decisive advantage to the teams defending what matters most.”

Sam Jones, Co-founder and CEO

“Cyber resilience requires a system that applies autonomy for both offense and defense. We believe Method is building the team and platform our critical institutions need to defend themselves in this new paradigm.”

Mark Crane, Partner, General Catalyst

“Cyber conflict is moving at machine speed. With state actors now weaponizing AI at scale, U.S. cyber operators need new autonomous systems to compete. Method is building the first system that truly operationalizes autonomy for cyber defense: a platform that can continuously test, adapt, and strengthen our most critical institutions. Their team and technology are built to deliver that advantage.”
