Metriport has raised $26 million in new funding to expand its open-source healthcare data infrastructure and develop additional AI, machine learning and agentic capabilities for clinicians. TJ Parker, General Partner at Matrix, led the financing, with participation from ARTIS and Y Combinator. The round brings Metriport’s total funding to $28.4 million.
Metriport is designed to connect fragmented medical records and convert them into structured, searchable information that clinicians can use at the point of care.
The platform is already used by healthcare organizations including Amazon One Medical, Sollis Health and Color Health.
Healthcare providers have historically had to gather medical histories from numerous hospitals, pharmacies, specialists and other facilities, often receiving records in incompatible formats or relying on manual requests that can take weeks.
That can lead to duplicated tests, repeated specialist visits, treatment delays and medical decisions based on incomplete information.
Metriport manages dozens of connections to major healthcare data sources and uses its open-source technology to match, extract, standardize, deduplicate and enrich records.
The platform converts those records into a unified data model accessible through a single API, a data warehouse or applications directly inside electronic health record systems.
Providers can receive real-time alerts as patients move through the healthcare system and use AI-powered medical record summaries to surface relevant information.
Sollis Health cited an example involving a patient who presented with upper abdominal pain but could not remember the details of a previous endoscopy.
Using Metriport, physicians located the earlier operative report, identified an ulcer and started treatment without ordering another CT scan or waiting for outside records.
Metriport recently achieved HITRUST r2 Certification.
The company plans to use the funding to scale its platform while developing additional AI and agentic functionality that can operate on top of longitudinal patient data.
