MEXC, a global digital asset trading platform, announced the appointment of Vugar Usi as Chief Executive Officer as the company enters a new phase of international expansion and strategic transformation.

The leadership transition coincides with MEXC’s eighth anniversary and signals a broader brand evolution centered on its “Infinite Opportunities” vision. The company has recently undergone operational and cultural changes aimed at strengthening its global footprint, improving risk management, and reinforcing its user-first approach.

MEXC reported significant growth over the past year, reaching a position among the top five exchanges globally by trading volume and achieving 90.9% year-over-year growth, according to CoinGecko. The platform has also emphasized its zero-fee trading model, which it says has returned more than $1 billion to users.

Usi brings more than a decade of experience across Fortune 500 companies and Web3 platforms, including prior leadership roles at Bitget. As MEXC’s Chief Operating Officer, he led initiatives to enhance risk controls and operational efficiency, positioning him to take on the CEO role.

Under his leadership, MEXC plans to expand beyond cryptocurrency trading into a broader multi-asset platform, including MT5-based assets and prediction markets. The company aims to create a unified trading environment where users can access cryptocurrencies alongside tokenized assets such as equities, commodities, and derivatives.

MEXC also unveiled a new brand identity and logo to reflect its strategic shift, with design elements symbolizing infinity and its commitment to zero-fee trading.

Looking ahead, Usi is expected to focus on scaling global operations, strengthening compliance and regulatory engagement, and enhancing governance frameworks as the company expands into new markets and asset classes.

KEY QUOTES:

“What drew me to MEXC was the product. Even before joining, I saw an exchange that was faster, smoother and more responsive than its peers. That user–centric approach is woven into everything from 0-fee trading to decisions that put real users ahead of institutions. Rooted deeply in the philosophy of ‘Infinite Opportunities’ is the belief that every trader, regardless of geography or starting capital, deserves meaningful access to the power of crypto.”

“MEXC is the dark horse of this industry, consistently outperforming competitors who focus on marketing over product. We win through product strength, competitive fees and genuine community engagement. Having served as MEXC’s Chief Operating Officer, I take on the CEO role with a clear mandate to accelerate our commitment to user–centric innovation. Our philosophy is right, our product is strong, and we are moving forward with confidence.”
