MiCare Path announced the close of its fourth funding round, along with the acquisition and integration of Tennessee-based Compwell, a provider of virtual assessments and care management services. The combined move strengthens MiCare Path’s ability to scale its national footprint while expanding its technology capabilities for clinicians and health systems across the United States.
The company, founded in 2019, operates a reimbursable virtual care platform that supports Remote Patient Monitoring, Remote Therapeutic Monitoring, Chronic Care Management, and Principal Care Management. MiCare Path said its technology enables clinicians to deliver continuous patient support by generating real-time, data-driven insights and improving care delivery beyond in-office visits.
The acquisition of Compwell is expected to enhance MiCare Path’s existing clinical programs and accelerate the company’s adoption of AI-driven tools to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency. MiCare Path currently employs more than 40 team members nationwide and works with physician groups and health systems serving tens of thousands of patients across numerous specialties.
Company leaders noted that the added capital will support continued innovation on MiCare Path’s FDA-registered software platform, broaden collaboration with hospitals and clinics, and help expand its virtual care services as healthcare organizations shift toward value-based models.
MiCare Path emphasized its ongoing strategy of blending advanced technology with human-centered care, describing its model as “health-digital” to highlight the role of clinicians who maintain direct patient engagement alongside digital tools.
