micro1 Commits $1 Billion To License Enterprise AI Training Data

micro1 announced plans to spend $1 billion over the next 12 months acquiring and licensing enterprise operational data for artificial intelligence training.

The initiative will operate through the company’s Company Data Partnerships program, which is designed to turn real-world business operations into training environments for advanced AI systems.

micro1 plans to work with participating companies to use de-identified operational data representing how businesses function in practice.

The company intends to transform that information into reinforcement learning environments that can expose AI models and agents to complex enterprise workflows rather than simplified or purely synthetic scenarios.

These environments are designed to help AI systems learn how to manage incomplete information, shifting priorities, exceptions, operational constraints, and other conditions that frequently arise in real business settings.

micro1 said the approach could help improve how AI agents perform tasks that require judgment, sequencing, adaptation, and decision-making across enterprise workflows.

The program is also designed to create a new revenue opportunity for participating businesses by allowing them to monetize operational knowledge and data accumulated through years of running their organizations.

The $1 billion investment is expected to significantly expand the number of industries, workflow types, and enterprise scenarios represented across micro1’s reinforcement learning infrastructure.

As the program grows, micro1 aims to build a broader library of real-world operational environments that AI developers can use to train and evaluate increasingly capable models and agents.

Citi and Hercules Capital are providing financing for the initiative.

micro1 operates data laboratories focused on helping leading AI research companies and enterprises train frontier models, develop specialized datasets, and evaluate the performance of AI agents.

Its internal research and development operations include Realm, Cortex, and Robotics, which support different areas of AI training, evaluation, and real-world interaction.

The Company Data Partnerships initiative expands that strategy by giving micro1 access to a larger pool of enterprise operational knowledge that can be converted into structured training environments for the next generation of AI systems.
