Microsoft Sets Up An Innovation Hub In Noida, India

Microsoft announced it has launched its third India Development Centre (IDC) in Noida. The other two development centers are based out of Bengaluru and Hyderabad. And the IDC-NCR is expected to provide opportunities for thousands of engineers. And there are plans to expand to a full-fledged development center, which is similar to the other two facilities.

“We have built a strong engineering presence in India over the past two decades and we are excited to be expanding to Noida. Our deep commitment to the region will help us further Microsoft”s mission to empower every individual and every organization on the planet to achieve more,” said Kurt DelBene, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Core Services Engineering and Operations and the Chairman of the IDC Advisory Board via Outlook India.

The IDC-NCR is expected to be home to Microsoft’s engineering teams across various technology groups, including the artificial intelligence and research group, the cloud and enterprise group and experience and devices group, and the core services engineering and operations group.

Plus it will also house Mixer, which is Microsoft’s live-streaming gaming platform team. As a result, the IDC-NCR will become the first center to host the gaming team outside Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington.
