- Microsoft chief product officer Panos Panay revealed that the release of the Surface Earbuds will be delayed until spring 2020
At an event in October, Microsoft unveiled wireless earbuds called the Surface Earbuds. The Surface Earbuds were expected to arrive this holiday season, but Microsoft decided to push the release to the spring of 2020.
“Product-making is about the relentless pursuit to get all the details right, which takes time…sometimes more than we planned on. To ensure we deliver the best possible experience for you, our fans & customers, Surface Earbuds will now launch worldwide in Spring 2020,” wrote Microsoft chief product officer Panos Panay in a tweet.
The Surface Earbuds includes a charging case and it can run for 24 hours on a single charge. Plus the Surface Earbuds will be able to work with any Bluetooth device and it supports with Apple Siri and Google Assistant.
Another useful feature is the ability to connect to Office 365 so you can Outlook email and calendar with voice controls. And users who give presentations can see their speeches transcribed on screens as they talk. Microsoft is also planning to add features like the ability to tap on the Surface EarBuds to go through slides on PowerPoint.
The Surface Earbuds will be priced at $249 when it gets released.
