Lugano Jewelry completed a management-backed sale in which private investment firm Middle West Partners acquired the luxury jewelry company alongside a group of longtime Lugano clients who invested.
The transaction became effective September 30, 2026, after Lugano completed its reorganization. Lugano said the sale and reorganization together provide a stronger financial and operational foundation as the company pursues long-term growth.
Middle West Partners is adding Lugano to its growing portfolio of American luxury brands. The investment firm highlighted Lugano’s established position in the luxury diamond jewelry market, loyal high-net-worth client base, and personalized approach to customer relationships as key strengths supporting its investment.
Alongside the ownership change, Lugano formally appointed Josh Gaynor as Chief Executive Officer and named him to the company’s Board of Directors. Gaynor had been serving as interim CEO and previously held senior positions at Bottega Veneta and Fendi before most recently leading high jewelry for Bulgari North America.
Under Gaynor’s leadership, Lugano said it has continued to experience demand across its offerings while strengthening relationships with longstanding clients, attracting new customers, and expanding the reach of the brand.
Lugano will maintain its existing operations following the transaction. Its jewelry will continue to be handcrafted at the company’s Newport Beach, California workshop, while its four boutiques in Newport Beach, Aspen, Ocala, and Miami will remain open. The company also operates a traveling boutique serving the equestrian circuit.
Lugano specializes in one-of-a-kind luxury jewelry created around gemstones and emphasizes personalized client service, craftsmanship, philanthropy, and community involvement. Under its new ownership structure, the company plans to retain these elements while pursuing sustainable growth and broader opportunities across the luxury market.
