MidEuropa, a private equity firm focused on Central Europe, announced it has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Romanian Business Consult (RBC), an IT system integrator serving the retail, banking, and industrial sectors in Romania.
RBC founder and CEO Andrei Bojiță will retain a significant minority stake and continue to lead the business. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in 2026.
Founded in 1991, RBC provides consulting, systems integration, custom software development, and long-term support for mission-critical IT systems. The company said it serves blue-chip retail and banking clients and is known for long-standing customer relationships, with more than 80% of customers working with RBC for over 15 years.
MidEuropa said the partnership will support RBC’s next phase of growth by combining RBC’s sector expertise with MidEuropa’s operational capabilities, regional experience, and M&A execution resources, as demand for digitalization and automation increases across the market.
MidEuropa said it was advised by Equiteq on M&A, Kearney on commercial diligence, Wolf Theiss, White & Case and Čavrak on legal matters, KPMG on financial, tax, IT, and ESG work, Financewise on financial matters, and AON on insurance.
