MightyFly, an autonomous air logistics company developing hybrid electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) cargo aircraft, announced it has raised $10 million in new funding. The round included participation from Draper Associates, At One Ventures, and 500 Global. With the latest investment, the company’s total funding has reached $15 million.
Founded in 2019 and based in the San Francisco Bay Area, MightyFly is focused on building autonomous cargo aircraft designed for expedited logistics across commercial and defense markets. The company’s hybrid eVTOL platform is designed to support middle-mile and last-mile business-to-business deliveries while also serving mission-critical defense logistics.
MightyFly’s aircraft are capable of carrying payloads between 100 and 500 pounds across ranges of 600 to 1,000 miles at speeds of about 150 miles per hour. The platform is designed to support multiple delivery stops during a single route and operate without the infrastructure requirements typical of traditional logistics networks.
The company said its technology aims to provide faster and more flexible logistics while reducing emissions compared with conventional delivery methods. By leveraging autonomous operations, the platform is intended to reduce reliance on labor-intensive logistics infrastructure and enable rapid deployment across new delivery networks.
MightyFly has already built three full-scale aircraft and completed more than 400 autonomous flights. The company has also obtained a Special Airworthiness Certificate allowing operations across multiple flight areas, corridors, and airports.
In addition to technology development, the company has begun generating commercial traction. MightyFly reported more than $1 million in revenue to date and has secured long-term commercial agreements, including a $220 million, 20-year letter of intent for intra-island delivery services and a $50 million, five-year contract in the healthcare sector.
The company said its expansion aligns with evolving regulatory frameworks that support autonomous aircraft operations in the U.S. national airspace system and the growing demand for expedited delivery services, a market estimated at $319 billion.
KEY QUOTES
“MightyFly is built around autonomy as a force multiplier—delivering speed, reach, and operational flexibility that traditional logistics simply can’t match. By eliminating infrastructure dependencies, we unlock rapid expansion.”
Manal Habib, Founder And CEO Of MightyFly
“We invested in MightyFly early because we believe autonomy can redefine the future of logistics. We’re excited to continue supporting the team as they help lead the way in long-range eVTOL cargo delivery for next-generation supply chains.”
Tim Chae, Managing Partner At 500 Global
“Traditional logistics relies on capital and labor-intensive infrastructure that constrains speed, cost, and reliability. From early on we believed in MightyFly’s fundamentally advantageous solution which virtually eliminates labor – the largest cost driver for logistics operations today. With the team now demonstrating the reliability required for real-world operations, we are seeing growing commercial traction and excited for the next stage of this technology taking off.”
