MiiHealth AI Raises Seed Funding Led By Russell Glass To Automate Patient Intake

MiiHealth AI has raised a Seed round of an undisclosed amount led by Russell Glass, former CEO of Headspace and founder of Arteria Capital. The financing also included participation from physician angel investors, healthcare operators and digital health founders.

MiiHealth AI is developing DAINA, the Dynamic AI Intake and Navigation Agent, an agentic medical assistant that autonomously calls patients before appointments, conducts multi-turn clinical intake interviews and writes structured clinical notes directly into electronic health records.

The company said DAINA can give healthcare providers back more than two hours per day by moving repetitive patient questioning and documentation outside the exam room and completing the intake process before a visit begins.

DAINA has undergone clinical validation in a cardiology deployment at Mayo Clinic, where it conducted intake across hundreds of patients.

MiiHealth said providers saved more than eight minutes per cardiology encounter while patients reported high levels of comfort and trust when interacting with the system.

The platform also supports multilingual voice interviews, specialty-specific clinical protocols, automatic generation of EHR-ready notes and integration with leading EHR systems using HL7v2 and other standards.

MiiHealth plans to use the funding to expand its engineering and AI teams, broaden DAINA’s specialty protocol catalog, strengthen clinical reasoning and safety capabilities, accelerate EHR integrations and grow its commercial and customer success organizations.

KEY QUOTES:

“This raise fuels our next chapter: a more trustworthy clinical Agent, deeper roots across 70% of the country’s EHR landscape, and a market position that sets a new standard for what AI-driven care looks like.”

Kelvin Summoogum, Founder and CEO of MiiHealth AI

“MiiHealth AI automates patient intake, one of the most overlooked and painful parts of the clinical workflow. Without asking clinicians to change how they practice, MiiHealth saves more than 8 minutes per cardiology encounter at Mayo Clinic, and patients love it. This is the kind of easy-to-implement and scalable win-win that health systems are looking for.”
