Milbank plans to open an office in Chicago and has recruited Nadav Klugman as a partner in its Global Project, Energy & Infrastructure Finance Group to help establish the new location.
Klugman joins from White & Case, where he was a partner and Co-Head of the firm’s Global Project Development and Finance Practice.
His practice focuses on energy transition and structured corporate solutions, particularly project financings, renewable energy acquisitions and divestitures and tax equity investments.
Klugman advises both financial institutions and sponsors.
Milbank is positioning the Chicago expansion around growing demand across energy transition, power and digital infrastructure transactions.
The firm said the convergence of renewable energy and digital infrastructure is creating additional demand for sophisticated energy financing structures as data center and other computing infrastructure increases power requirements.
Klugman’s hiring gives the planned Chicago office a senior energy finance partner at launch.
He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Brandeis University.
