MiNDED is a science-backed brain health company focused on proactive, accessible approaches to long-term cognitive wellness. Founder and CEO Sydney Scotia created the company after her own experiences with migraine and persistent head discomfort led her to explore ways people could take a more active role in supporting their brain health. Scotia developed MiNDED’s Migra-Health alongside her father, David Dodick, Head of Medicine at Atria. The product combines six research-backed ingredients and is designed to support people who experience recurrent head discomfort, headaches, and migraines. MiNDED has also expanded its focus around brain health education and community, and recently launched on Amazon. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Scotia to learn more about her background, the development of MiNDED, and her vision for building a broader platform around brain health.
Sydney Scotia’s Background

When asked about her background, Scotia shared:
My background has always been a mix of creativity, storytelling, and entrepreneurship.
I started acting when I was young and spent years working in film and television, which eventually led me into directing and producing as well.
Through filmmaking, I became really passionate about telling stories that create awareness around issues people are living with but often don’t talk about enough.
At the same time, migraine has been a part of my life since I was young. My mom dealt with migraine as well, and after I suffered a concussion, my own symptoms became even more frequent.
That experience made brain health feel deeply personal to me.
I started researching, asking questions, and trying to understand what was actually happening in my brain and what I could do to better support it.
I decided to get my business degree because I wanted the tools to turn ideas into something tangible and impactful.
That combination of lived experience, storytelling, and business is what eventually led me to start MiNDED.
I wanted to build a company that makes brain health feel more accessible, less overwhelming, and more supported, especially for people navigating migraine and head discomfort who often feel like they’re dealing with it alone.
Primary Responsibilities
When asked about her primary responsibilities as the founder of MiNDED, Scotia explained:
Right now, pretty much everything.
Since MiNDED recently launched, my days are a mix of marketing, partnerships, operations, creating educational content, and community building.
I’m also in the development process for new products, which is really exciting.
It’s a fun stage because every day has a little bit of everything, and I get to be involved in all parts of the brand as it grows.
Favorite Memories
When asked about her favorite memories working for MiNDED so far, Scotia said:
Some of my favorite memories have been seeing the MiNDED community come to life in person.
We’ve hosted a boxing event at The Pack, an event at Rumble Boxing, Pilates classes, and different experiences where people are moving their bodies, connecting with each other, and having really honest conversations about brain health.
What’s been so exciting is watching brain health become something people actually want to talk about, in a way that feels empowering, proactive, and connected to how we live every day.
For me, that’s the heart of MiNDED: building a community where people feel supported, informed, and less alone.
Those moments have been really special because they show me that this is bigger than a product.
It’s a movement around taking better care of our brains, and it feels like we’re just getting started.
Key Company Milestones
When asked about some of MiNDED’s most significant milestones, Scotia highlighted the company’s expansion onto Amazon:
Launching on Amazon has been a really significant milestone for us.
It’s a big step in making MiNDED and Migra-Health more accessible to people who are looking for support in their everyday brain health routine.
Beyond that, every person who has joined the mission has felt like a milestone, whether it’s a scientific advisor, a business advisor, or someone in the community who really connects with what we’re building.
Because MiNDED is still growing, those moments mean a lot.
They remind me that this is bigger than a product; it’s a mission people believe in.
Product Development And Partnership Success
When asked to share specific success stories, Scotia pointed to MiNDED’s partnership and the development of Migra-Health:
One specific success story that stands out is securing Life Extension as a partner and working with a best-in-class manufacturing facility.
That was a huge moment for us because quality, trust, and scientific rigor have always been central to MiNDED.
Another major success was formulating the product itself.
Migra-Health brings together six research-backed ingredients in effective dosages in one simple capsule routine.
At one point, I honestly thought we might have to make it as a powder because fitting everything in was going to be so difficult.
But we were able to get the ingredients into small capsules, which was incredibly exciting.
Future Goals
When asked about MiNDED’s future goals, Scotia explained:
MiNDED will become a true platform for brain health, not just a product company, but a trusted place people can come for products, scientific information, resources, and community.
I want MiNDED to help make brain health feel more accessible and proactive.
We talk so much about taking care of our bodies, but our brains deserve that same level of attention.
The goal is to support people in taking better care of their brains every day and ultimately help them stay cognitively sharper for longer.
Building The MiNDED Community
When invited to discuss another topic, Scotia concluded:
I’d just love to invite everyone to follow along and be part of what we’re building.
We’re continuing to host MiNDED community events, and we’d love to see everyone at the next one.
