Mindoo: €5 Million Seed Funding Closed To Build Voice-First AI Agents For Hospital Intake, Patient Access, And Follow-Up

Mindoo, a Belgium-based healthcare AI company, said it has raised €5 million in seed financing to expand a configurable “AI workforce” platform designed to automate routine administrative and clinical support workflows for hospital teams. The round was backed by 6 Degrees Capital, Syndicate One, and a group of strategic angel investors, according to the company.

Founded by Dr. Gauthier Willemse and Bart Lens, Mindoo positions its platform as a governed layer for deploying agentic workflows in healthcare, aiming to help providers address staffing shortages by offloading repetitive work without forcing teams to change how they operate. The company said its agents are configurable by hospital teams to reflect local protocols, specialty requirements, and languages, while integrating with existing systems.

Mindoo currently offers four core agents focused on front-desk and care-journey workflows: a receptionist agent for patient communications and registrations, a pre-visit agent for structured intake and medical history collection, a scribe agent for drafting notes, letters, and orders, and a follow-up agent for post-visit communication and care pathways. The company said hospitals and clinicians using Mindoo report faster and more complete intake, reduced documentation burden, and measurable operational efficiency improvements.

Mindoo said it is already deployed in hospitals across Belgium and Germany and supports integrations with modern electronic health record systems. The company added that expansion into the Netherlands and France is planned as new reference sites come online.

The seed funding will be used to strengthen the platform, bring the four core agents to full production maturity across multiple specialties, and grow the team across engineering, clinical specialists, and deployment roles.

KEY QUOTES:

“We learned very quickly that workflows in healthcare cannot be adapted to a product. The product has to adapt to existing workflows. That is why Mindoo lets hospital teams configure and run their own agents, so automation fits naturally into how they already work.”

Gauthier Willemse, CEO And Co-Founder

“We designed Mindoo so healthcare organizations can deploy agents that follow their rules, integrate with their systems and behave predictably in real-world environments. This is how AI becomes operational, not experimental.”

Bart Lens, CTO And Co-Founder

“We invested in Mindoo because the founders understand healthcare from the inside and have built a platform that lets hospitals adopt AI responsibly. The opportunity ahead is enormous. Automated workflows will become essential infrastructure for healthcare.”
