Mine Vision Systems: $12.5 Million Series A Raised For Advancing Underground Mining Decision Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Nov 4, 2025

Mine Vision Systems (MVS), a Pittsburgh-based leader in vision-driven mapping and analytics for underground mining, has raised $12.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Rockwell Venture Capital, with significant participation from Condire Investors. The funding will support accelerated product development and expansion of MVS’s decision-making platform, designed to enhance speed, safety, and productivity across the mining industry.

The investment exceeded MVS’s original $10 million target, reflecting growing demand for automation and real-time analytics in underground operations. The company, which has experienced notable momentum in 2025, plans to use the proceeds to expand R&D, strengthen product integration, and scale deployment of its flagship FaceCapture technology and related analytics.

MVS’s technology enables mining companies to collect and interpret high-resolution spatial data in underground environments, providing actionable insights that improve operational decision-making. The platform has already been adopted by several major global mining operators seeking to modernize workflows and increase efficiency through computer vision and automation.

Rockwell Venture Capital’s ongoing relationship with MVS was a key factor in leading the round. Condire Investors, known for its portfolio across the mining and industrial technology sectors, joined the financing following extensive diligence with industry leaders and operators who have implemented MVS solutions.

Founded in 2015, MVS has built a reputation as a pioneer in underground 3D mapping and perception technology. The company’s products integrate vision-based sensing with advanced analytics to improve data collection, workflow automation, and decision support in resource extraction environments.
