MineOS has completed the sale of its consumer privacy business to McAfee, marking a significant shift for the company as it transitions fully into enterprise privacy, risk management, and artificial intelligence governance. The deal finalizes MineOS’s evolution from a consumer application provider into an enterprise-focused platform centered on autonomous AI agents and continuous compliance.
The consumer product, which helped millions of users identify where their personal data was exposed online and provided tools to manage their digital footprint, had become widely recognized for its clarity, transparency, and user trust. The divestiture allows MineOS to direct all future resources into expanding its enterprise offerings, which rely on autonomous AI systems that observe, decide, and act across privacy operations.
With global regulations becoming increasingly complex and data volumes expanding rapidly, the company expects demand for automated governance platforms that integrate data mapping, data subject request fulfillment, vendor risk evaluation, and AI oversight. MineOS says its autonomous approach enables enterprises to operate faster, reduce risk, and build long-term trust without increasing headcount. The company plans to invest the proceeds from the sale to accelerate platform innovation and enhance its AI and automation capabilities.
MineOS already counts global brands such as Wiz, HelloFresh, Miro, SharkNinja, Selfridges, and Ford as customers. And the company says it will continue building momentum by helping privacy, legal, and compliance teams move from manual processes to continuous, agentic operations supported by live intelligence.
