MiSalud Health: New Funding Raised To Expand Bilingual Healthcare Access Across North America

By Amit Chowdhry • Nov 6, 2025

MiSalud Health, a bilingual health platform that integrates human care with AI to make healthcare more accessible for underserved workers, has raised a new funding round led by IGNIA. The round included participation from Redwood Ventures, Amplifica Capital, existing investors Ulu Ventures and Magnify Ventures, and MiSalud client Taylor Farms. Previous rounds included Lowercase Capital and Samsung Ventures. This latest investment brings MiSalud Health’s total funding to $18.3 million.

The new capital will support MiSalud Health’s expansion into 20 additional states and the introduction of services that are traditionally delivered in person. The company currently serves over 100,000 members across various sectors, including agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and hospitality. MiSalud Health delivers care through job site events and same-day virtual consultations available in both Spanish and English.

The company focuses on reducing barriers that many blue-collar workers face in accessing care, particularly scheduling limitations, language challenges, and lack of insurance coverage. By bringing care directly to workplaces and enabling easy virtual access through video, phone, or SMS, MiSalud Health reports participation rates above 90 percent and engagement exceeding 50 percent, which it says is significantly higher than typical employer healthcare solutions. The model drives early intervention, reduces emergency room usage, and lowers healthcare costs for employers and employees.

MiSalud Health’s platform combines cultural alignment with AI assistance to help physicians and health coaches deliver care that is both efficient and personalized. The platform’s proprietary AI is built on an open-sourced LLM trained on hundreds of thousands of real patient consultations. The system streamlines administrative tasks and strengthens patient communication, while human providers maintain the culturally rooted trust needed for effective care.

IGNIA’s investment supports MiSalud Health’s continued growth across the United States and Mexico amid rising healthcare costs and demographic pressures. The company aims to create a scalable care model that increases access while improving outcomes for underserved populations.

KEY QUOTES

“MiSalud Health operates at the intersection of culture, health, and AI. AI is transforming how health professionals deliver care, but they can’t be taken completely out of the loop. They are essential for building cultural connection and trust. With IGNIA’s investment, we will scale across North America to make healthcare accessible and affordable for the communities who have and are being left behind by traditional healthcare.”

Bismarck Lepe, Co-founder and CEO

“MiSalud Health was founded by world-class founders tackling one of the biggest problems in North America—healthcare accessibility. At IGNIA, we believe in companies that seize opportunities on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. As our population ages, healthcare is becoming an unsustainable $10T problem. MiSalud Health has the ability to be at the center of lowering costs and increasing access—which benefits everyone.”
