Mitsubishi Chemical and Accenture announced the formation of a joint venture, RIX Business Partners Corporation, designed to accelerate AI-enabled business reinvention and operational transformation across Mitsubishi Chemical’s corporate functions.

Established through DIA-RIX, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical, the new venture aims to optimize corporate operations and create a sustainable operating model that addresses Japan’s ongoing productivity challenges. The initiative will focus on developing an AI-enabled digital platform that supports key corporate functions, particularly general affairs, administrative services, and facilities management across Mitsubishi Chemical’s offices and manufacturing sites in Japan.

The platform is expected to enhance operational visibility, standardization, and cross-site management while helping the company adapt to workforce changes. By integrating AI into everyday business processes, Mitsubishi Chemical intends to enable employees to spend more time on higher-value business and manufacturing activities.

The joint venture represents a significant step in Mitsubishi Chemical’s broader digital transformation strategy and reflects the growing adoption of AI-powered operational platforms within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. The companies expect the initiative to help establish new ways of working while improving operational sustainability and long-term enterprise value.

RIX Business Partners Corporation was established on May 1, 2026, and is headquartered in Tokyo. Mitsubishi Chemical holds an 81% ownership stake in the venture, while Accenture owns the remaining 19%. The company launched with 255 employees and will provide business support services, including facility management and a range of administrative functions.

Mitsubishi Chemical is a global chemical manufacturer serving industries such as mobility, semiconductors, communications, food, healthcare, and infrastructure. Accenture is a global professional services company focused on helping organizations reinvent operations through digital technologies, AI, consulting, and managed services.
