MKB Company has acquired Siltworm, an Indiana-based manufacturer of erosion and sediment-control products, continuing the expansion of Align Capital Partners’ environmental-control platform. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
Siltworm develops proprietary rolled filter products designed to control sediment and limit erosion across applications including perimeter control, inlet protection, stockpile protection, ditch maintenance and slope interruption.
The company’s products use a lightweight, biodegradable fill material designed to provide an environmentally responsible alternative for erosion-control applications.
The acquisition expands MKB’s product portfolio and adds Siltworm’s technology to its growing national manufacturing and distribution network.
MKB plans to offer customers a broader set of erosion and stormwater-control products while combining the companies’ technical expertise, supply capabilities and distribution reach.
Siltworm founder Joe Moore will remain with the company following the transaction.
Moore has been appointed Vice President of Market Development at MKB and will focus on customer education, product growth and market expansion.
The deal represents MKB’s sixth acquisition since the company partnered with Align Capital Partners in November 2024.
MKB intends to continue pursuing acquisitions of companies across the stormwater management and erosion-control industries.
The strategy is designed to build a broader environmental-control platform with national manufacturing and distribution capabilities while adding differentiated products that address regulatory, infrastructure and sustainability requirements.
