Moderne Ventures, a Chicago-based strategic venture capital firm focused on bringing transformative technologies to industries including real estate, finance, and insurance, has announced its Spring 2026 Passport Class, welcoming eight new companies into its intensive six-month industry immersion program. The cohort marks the firm’s 27th Passport class and brings the total number of companies guided through the program to more than 160.
The Moderne Passport Program provides participants with education, industry exposure, and access to Moderne’s proprietary network of more than 1,500 executives and corporations, with the goal of driving customer growth and distribution for early-stage technology companies breaking into complex, established industries.
The eight companies joining the Spring 2026 cohort span a range of emerging technology categories. Chateauz, based in San Diego, offers 5D cognitive simulation infrastructure for decision-critical environments. Darcy Solutions, based in New Brighton, Minnesota, transforms groundwater into a low-cost thermal energy system for next-generation geothermal applications. Geolava, based in San Francisco, applies spatial AI to model the evolving physical world and translate spatial features into competitive advantage. Hologram Media Network, based in Cary, North Carolina, is building the world’s first holographic advertising network using life-size holograms and intelligent infrastructure. Sigma360, based in New York, provides an AI-powered KYC and financial crime compliance automation platform. Orbital, also based in New York, applies AI to complex due diligence in the global real estate legal market. On3.ai, based in Madison, Wisconsin, offers knowledge management tools built for frontline field teams. And 3V Infrastructure, based in New York, enables EV charging across real estate portfolios by eliminating upfront capital investment and operational complexity.
Moderne Ventures manages more than $600 million in assets under management across five funds and has invested in more than 50 companies, with additional equity in more than 170 Passport companies. Previous investments include DocuSign, ICON, Caribou, Mesh, Proof, Porch, and Xeal.
