Modo Energy: £25 Million Series B To Expand Global Electrification Intelligence Platform

By Amit Chowdhry ● Dec 6, 2025

Modo Energy has secured £25 million in Series B financing to accelerate the global rollout of its data and valuation platform for electrification assets. The round was led by Molten Ventures, with additional participation from ETF Partners, MMC Ventures, and Fred. Olsen Limited.

The funding will support the company’s expansion from five to twenty markets while deepening its technology stack across engineering, data science, and customer operations.

Founded to deliver transparent, independent intelligence for the rapidly expanding global electrification sector, Modo Energy has built a unified platform that benchmarks the performance of batteries, renewables, flexible loads, and grid-connected infrastructure. Its analytics, revenue forecasts, and modelling tools are used by major operators, asset owners, and financiers across Europe, North America, and APAC. According to Molten Ventures, Modo’s technology has already underpinned billions of dollars in underwriting, valuation, and operational decisions.

The company is now enhancing its platform with new AI-powered valuation systems, enabling customers to directly interact with models, scenarios, and dynamic intelligence layers that replace traditional consultancy-driven workflows. By broadening access to its data products and deepening customer engagement, Modo aims to establish a global benchmark for evaluating electrification assets across battery storage, solar, wind, data centres, and flexible loads.

With electrification markets scaling rapidly and asset complexity increasing, the firm believes Modo is positioned to become the definitive data infrastructure layer for long-term energy transition investment.

KEY QUOTES:

“AI has the potential to transform how the world values and finances electrification. Modo Energy is uniquely positioned to lead this shift because it owns the entire modelling stack and has already established the trust required across the financial ecosystem.”

“We’ve been impressed by the team’s deep sector expertise, strong execution, and ability to embed their product into customer workflows. We’re confident that Modo’s strong growth, focus, and global ambition will position them as the benchmark for energy market intelligence across Europe and beyond.”

George Chalmers, Head of Climate at Molten Ventures

“We’re building the benchmarking and valuation operating system for global electrification – and AI is central to that mission. Because we own our entire modelling stack, we can deliver AI-powered, explainable valuation workflows that replace static analysis with dynamic intelligence systems. It’s a privilege to support our customers with tools worthy of the decisions they’re making.”
