Moelis & Company has appointed Russell Mason as a Managing Director in its Capital Structure Advisory Group, expanding the investment bank’s restructuring and distressed advisory capabilities.
Mason will be based in Dallas and advise companies and creditors on complex restructuring and capital structure matters.
He brings more than 20 years of finance and investment banking experience, with particular expertise in restructuring and distressed M&A.
Mason joins from Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group, where he advised both debtors and creditors across a broad range of industries.
Moelis said clients are increasingly evaluating recapitalizations and other capital structure solutions before a traditional restructuring becomes necessary.
Mason’s experience across restructuring, M&A and capital raising is expected to complement the firm’s existing advisory capabilities.
