Moeris announced that it has acquired Richmond Traffic Control, a provider of work zone safety and traffic control services based in Ashland, Virginia. The transaction expands Moeris’ national roadway safety and traffic control platform into the Mid-Atlantic region as the company continues its strategy of disciplined geographic growth and operational expansion.
Richmond Traffic Control will retain its existing name, locations, team, and operational structure following the acquisition. Day-to-day operations will continue as usual, with the company becoming the third operating business within the Moeris platform. The company joins Colorado Barricade and Pavement Surface Control, which currently serve customers across the Rocky Mountain region and the Pacific Northwest.
The companies said the partnership is designed to strengthen Richmond Traffic Control by providing access to additional resources, safety systems and operational support while maintaining the local leadership and relationships that have helped define its regional presence. The owners of Richmond Traffic Control selected Moeris as a partner to ensure continuity for employees and customers while positioning the company for future growth.
Founded in 2008, Richmond Traffic Control provides work zone traffic control products and services across Central Virginia, Northern Virginia and Tidewater Virginia. Its employees are certified by the American Traffic Safety Services Association and the Virginia Department of Transportation in work zone traffic control.
Moeris focuses on roadway safety and infrastructure support services, including traffic control, barrier systems, pavement marking and sign installation for infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects. The company operates through a network of local businesses while maintaining local leadership and identity across its markets.
