Mojo Vision, a company specializing in high-performance micro-LED technology, has announced the closing of a $75 million Series B Prime funding round. This investment will help the company accelerate the commercialization of its advanced micro-LED platform and expand its applications in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. Vanedge Capital led the funding round. And it included continued support from existing investors such as Edge Venture Capital, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Fusion Fund, Knollwood Capital, Dolby Family Ventures, and Khosla Ventures. Some of the new investors joining the round include imec.xpand, Keymaker, Ohio Innovation Fund, and Hyperlink Ventures.
Over the past nine years, Mojo Vision has developed a unique micro-LED platform that combines several advanced components. These include 300mm silicon architecture, gallium nitride (GaN) on silicon emitters, high-performance quantum dots, and micro-lens arrays. This integrated approach allows the company to overcome traditional limitations in display technology, such as balancing size, brightness, bandwidth density, and power efficiency.
Mojo Vision’s wafers-in, wafers-out manufacturing process is designed to be highly flexible, making it suitable for a wide range of use cases—from consumer electronics and wearables to industrial and medical applications. By refining this platform and expanding its capabilities, the company aims to unlock new possibilities for AI-powered devices and systems that rely on compact, high-performance visual interfaces.
How the funding will be used: With the new financing, Mojo Vision plans to scale its operations, deepen its research and development efforts, and bring its micro-LED solutions to market more broadly. This marks a significant step forward in the company’s journey to deliver next-generation display technology that meets the demands of increasingly intelligent and connected environments.
