Mombak has reached the first close of Amazon Reforestation Fund II, its second investment vehicle targeting up to $150 million for large-scale forest restoration in Brazil.
The company also received approval for an additional $40 million credit line from Brazilian development bank BNDES.
The financing is intended to support Mombak’s expansion of reforestation projects across the Amazon and the generation of high-integrity carbon removal credits.
Alongside the fund announcement, Mombak disclosed a new offtake agreement with Salesforce for future carbon removal credits.
Salesforce joins a buyer base that includes Microsoft, Google, McKinsey, Bain and Climeworks.
Mombak issued its first reforestation carbon credits in July 2026 and said it delivered them to customers more than two years ahead of deadlines established in the relevant offtake agreements.
Fund II follows Mombak’s first investment fund, which raised $120 million from international institutional investors.
That vehicle supported reforestation activity across 15 farms in the Brazilian Amazon.
Mombak said it has planted nearly 15 million trees to date.
The company’s model combines institutional capital, land acquisition or project development and long-term carbon purchase agreements to finance restoration at scale.
The additional BNDES credit line gives the company another source of capital alongside equity commitments from Fund II and revenue expected from future carbon credit deliveries.
