MongoDB reported second-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $771.8 million, increasing 30% year over year, marking the company’s highest revenue growth rate in several years.

Atlas revenue increased approximately 29% year over year, while MongoDB Enterprise Advanced and other revenue grew approximately 36%. Subscription revenue totaled $747.1 million, up 31%, while services revenue increased 29% to $24.6 million.

MongoDB reported GAAP net income of $40.9 million, or $0.50 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $47 million, or $0.58 per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Non-GAAP net income increased to $162.6 million, or $1.90 per fully diluted share, from $87.2 million, or $1 per share, a year earlier.

GAAP gross margin improved to 74% from 71%, while non-GAAP gross margin increased to 76% from 74%.

MongoDB generated GAAP operating income of $28.4 million compared with a $65.3 million operating loss a year earlier. Non-GAAP operating income reached $185.9 million, producing a 24% non-GAAP operating margin, up from 15% in the prior-year period.

Free cash flow nearly doubled to $137.6 million, compared with $69.9 million a year earlier. MongoDB generated $141.9 million in operating cash flow during the quarter and ended July with approximately $2.4 billion in cash, cash equivalents, short-term investments and restricted cash.

Remaining performance obligations increased 91% to $1.52 billion, while current remaining performance obligations rose 73% to $797.3 million.

MongoDB ended the quarter with more than 70,600 customers, up from more than 59,900 a year earlier. Atlas customers rose to more than 69,300, while customers generating at least $100,000 in annual recurring revenue reached 2,999.

The company highlighted continued expansion of its AI-related capabilities during the quarter. MongoDB Search and Vector Search became generally available in Enterprise Advanced, extending AI retrieval capabilities to self-managed, private cloud and hybrid environments.

MongoDB also launched the Atlas Managed MCP Server, which connects coding agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, and Devin, to live MongoDB Atlas data without requiring customers to deploy additional infrastructure.

Additional releases included Automated Embeddings powered by Voyage AI, the Atlas Embedding and Reranking API, voyage-code-4 and Vector Search in Atlas Stream Processing.

For the third quarter, MongoDB expects revenue of $756 million to $761 million, non-GAAP operating income of $152 million to $156 million and non-GAAP EPS of $1.57 to $1.61.

MongoDB also raised its full-year fiscal 2027 outlook, with management saying the second-half increase is primarily driven by Atlas.

The company now expects fiscal 2027 revenue of $2.99 billion to $3.03 billion, non-GAAP operating income of $616.3 million to $636.3 million and non-GAAP EPS of $6.39 to $6.58.
