Moog, a designer and manufacturer specializing in high-performance precision motion and fluid controls, has acquired COTSWORKS for $63 million. COTSWORKS manufactures fiber optic transceiver components for aerospace and defense, and the deal was financed through cash and Moog’s Class A common stock.
This acquisition allows Moog to enhance its Space and Defense component portfolio by integrating COTSWORKS’ advanced technologies. These fiber optic solutions provide high bandwidth and compact signal density, addressing the growing need for efficient digital data processing across various domains.
Founded in 2006 and based in Ohio, COTSWORKS employs over 120 people and is known for its innovative fiber optic solutions. This acquisition supports Moog’s strategy for high-performance connectivity in defense and space and is not expected to have a significant impact on the company’s financial results for 2025.
