MoonPay, the global crypto financial technology company, has acquired Glide, a crypto deposit technology company that enables apps to accept deposits in any token, wallet, exchange, or payment card without requiring users to manually convert assets before transacting. Glide’s team, technology, and customer base are joining MoonPay, with the technology folding into MoonPay Deposits. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2023 by Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong — who previously led the team that built Robinhood’s crypto wallet — Glide was backed by Y Combinator, Titan Fund, and other investors. The company processes more than $100 million in annual volume across 100-plus tokens and 30-plus blockchain networks, with support for funding from centralized exchanges and fiat onramps. Its core technology is a proprietary routing layer that connects any funding source to any destination, dynamically selecting between its own instant relayer and bridge-and-swap routes to optimize for speed and cost. Cross-chain transactions settle instantly while supporting multi-million-dollar transfers. Deposits are received through self-custodial escrow smart contracts that are verifiable on-chain and built for compliant funding flows — a compliance architecture that MoonPay cited as a key strategic asset.
The acquisition addresses a persistent friction point in crypto app onboarding: users who hold funds on one chain or in one token are typically forced to manually bridge or swap before they can fund an app, a process that has historically caused onboarding drop-off and, in some cases, lost funds. By integrating Glide’s routing and settlement infrastructure into MoonPay Deposits, MoonPay aims to offer what it describes as the most compliant non-custodial funding solution in the market. MoonPay Deposits already powers funding flows for Wallet in Telegram, Moonshot, and Paysafe.
The Glide deal is MoonPay’s sixth acquisition announcement of 2026, following Sodot (cryptographic key management, forming the basis of MoonPay Institutional), Decent and DFlow (which became MoonPay Trade), Entendre (AI accounting agents), and Dawn Labs (AI-native trading infrastructure). The pace reflects an aggressive consolidation strategy by MoonPay, which was founded in 2019, serves more than 30 million customers across 180 countries, and supports more than 1,200 enterprise customers across crypto and fintech. The company holds a New York BitLicense, a New York Limited Purpose Trust Charter, U.S. money transmitter licenses, and MiCA authorization in the European Union. Both Soni and Tong will join MoonPay following the close, and existing Glide customers will see no disruption to service.
