Morgan Lewis Expands International Tax And Disputes Practice With Salim Rahim In Washington, DC

Morgan Lewis has added Salim Rahim as a partner in its Washington, DC office, strengthening the firm’s global tax capabilities as multinational companies face increasing complexity in international tax rules and enforcement. Rahim joins from Baker McKenzie, where he most recently served as chair of the Americas tax practice group.

Rahim regularly represents Fortune 500 companies on significant transfer pricing planning projects and disputes. His practice focuses on international tax and transfer pricing matters, particularly transfer pricing disputes. He advises US and non-US multinational companies across industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, automotive, luxury fashion, and financial services.

His work includes negotiating and securing advance pricing agreements, guiding multinational corporations through Mutual Agreement Procedure proceedings to eliminate double taxation, and advising on global supply chain restructuring initiatives.

The firm said Rahim’s arrival aligns with its broader strategy to expand its global tax platform through targeted hires in key markets. Recent additions to the tax practice include Alexios Hadji in New York, Daniel Hudson in Miami, Randall Thomas in Washington, DC, Andrew Callaghan in London, and Tamara Shepard in Boston.
