Motion: $60 Million Raised At $550 Million Valuation For Scaling Agentic Work Suite

By Amit Chowdhry ● Sep 9, 2025

Motion, a company focused on agentic work platforms for SMBs, has announced a combined $60 million raise across its Series B, Series C, and Series C2 rounds, bringing total funding to $75 million and valuing the company at $550 million.

The $38 million Series C was over five times oversubscribed and led by Scale Venture Partners, with continued support from insiders HOF Capital, 468 Capital, and SignalFire. Y Combinator also doubled down, joined by new investors including Valor Equity Partners, Fellows Fund, Leonis Capital, and over a dozen unicorn founders.

As part of the Series C, Motion welcomes Stacey Bishop of Scale Venture Partners to its board. Bishop brings deep experience in scaling SMB and mid-market platforms, having led HubSpot’s Series C and served on its board, as well as guiding growth rounds for Lever, Demandbase, and Bill.com.

Motion’s B2B revenue has tripled year-over-year, reaching eight figures in ARR, with over 10,000 SMBs now running their operations on its agentic work platform. The company’s breakout product, AI Employees—autonomous agents embedded within its work management suite—has driven this growth, surging from zero to eight-figure ARR in just three months. These agents handle tasks across the organization, freeing up time for strategic and revenue-generating work.

Motion is building the first fully integrated agentic work suite, spanning sales, marketing, project management, client engagement, and more.

Over the past three years, the company has developed core modules, including team project management, knowledge management, document management, spreadsheets, calendars, meeting scheduling, and business intelligence—all designed with native agent integration. Upcoming releases will further expand this ecosystem.

How the funding will be used: The new funding will be used to grow Motion’s engineering and product teams, accelerating development of new applications and agent capabilities. With its end-to-end platform and embedded intelligence, Motion is redefining how SMBs operate—automating the mundane, amplifying productivity, and unlocking scalable growth.

KEY QUOTES:

“Motion reminds me of HubSpot in its early days—laser-focused on building the best product for SMBs before moving upmarket. When I spoke with Motion customers during diligence, it was clear Motion’s agentic work suite solves a very real problem: these businesses want to use AI to run better, but don’t know where to start. Motion makes that leap possible.”
