Motorola Solutions has agreed to acquire the land mobile radio networks services business from Bell Canada, a subsidiary of BCE Inc., in a deal valued at CAD $675 million, subject to customary adjustments and a deferred net working capital settlement.

The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending regulatory and third-party approvals, as well as other standard closing conditions.

The acquisition builds on a more than 30-year relationship between Motorola Solutions and Bell, which has jointly delivered secure and resilient land mobile radio communications across Canada. Following the transaction, Bell will continue to collaborate with Motorola Solutions as a service delivery partner for these networks.

Motorola Solutions said the deal is intended to strengthen the resiliency and security of mission-critical communications infrastructure used by public safety agencies and other essential services across Canadian communities.

BCE, which operates Bell Canada, is the country’s largest communications company based on revenue and customer connections, with a focus on fiber networks, wireless services, enterprise solutions, and digital media offerings.

The companies noted that the transaction remains subject to customary risks and uncertainties, including regulatory approvals and successful integration upon closing.
