India-based mobility infrastructure company Moving Tech Innovations has acquired Netherlands-based Automicle, marking its formal entry into the European market and setting the stage for the rollout of zero-commission, open mobility platforms across the region.

The acquisition brings together Automicle’s expertise in European mobility systems, including digital parking and public transport solutions, with Moving Tech Innovations’ large-scale open mobility infrastructure. The combined entity aims to help cities deploy locally governed, interoperable transportation systems aligned with European regulatory and sustainability priorities.

Moving Tech Innovations operates several large-scale mobility platforms in India, including Namma Yatri, Bharat Taxi, and Chennai One. Its infrastructure has supported more than 150 million trips and enabled over 250 million euros in driver earnings without charging commissions. The platform is designed as digital public infrastructure, supporting services such as ride-hailing, micro-mobility, parking, public transit integration, and specialized transport services.

Automicle, founded to address evolving European mobility needs, has focused on building solutions rooted in local governance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder collaboration. The acquisition is expected to accelerate deployment of open, city-owned mobility systems across Europe.

The combined platform leverages open standards such as the Beckn Protocol and TOMP API, enabling interoperability across providers while avoiding vendor lock-in. Both companies emphasize compliance with GDPR, data localization requirements, and long-term public ownership of mobility systems.

Advanced discussions are already underway with multiple European cities as demand grows for integrated, affordable, and sustainable transportation solutions built on open infrastructure.
