MPS Limited has acquired Unbound Medicine, through its wholly owned subsidiary MPS North America LLC, expanding its footprint into healthcare knowledge management and AI-powered clinical decision support.
The transaction brings together Unbound’s AI-driven clinical decision-support and healthcare education platform with MPS’ global technology infrastructure, platform engineering capabilities, and learning solutions network. The companies said the acquisition creates a new growth engine for MPS, positioning it at the intersection of clinical knowledge and AI-driven information science.
Unbound Medicine has spent more than 25 years developing tools that transform complex medical content into actionable knowledge for clinicians and students. Working with leading publishers, professional associations, and academic institutions, the company delivers subscription-based access to medical schools, nursing programs, hospital systems, and professional societies across North America. It reports a 97% annual institutional renewal rate.
With MPS’ global infrastructure, Unbound’s platform is expected to reach additional medical institutions across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. The companies also highlighted potential product synergies, with Unbound’s AI capabilities enhancing MPS’ learning solutions portfolio, while MPS’ platform engineering and delivery capabilities support further scale and stability for Unbound’s offerings.
MPS, founded in 1970 and listed on major stock exchanges in India, partners with publishers, universities, and professional institutions to design and operate digital learning platforms and content delivery systems. Its portfolio includes HighWire Press, a platform for scientific and scholarly publishing. The addition of Unbound introduces specialized healthcare knowledge tools to MPS’ broader suite of platform and learning solutions.
